Rockbeare's attractive playing field, with a children's playground, is situated opposite the Hall. It is just perfect for the children to play, whilst the parents take a rest! The playing field supports two football pitches, a half sized outdoor basketball court, play park for children and a cricket pavilion. The football pitches are taken care of by Mark Russell.

The playing field is used to hold the summer fete, weekend sporting events, car boot sales and as over flow car parking for the Village Hall. Football teams are welcome to discuss using the pitch. It is not at present used on Sundays. There is a shower room in the Village Hall. Dogs, except guide dogs, are not allowed on the Playing Field, even on leads. It is the Home Ground of Exeter Panthers Under 9s and Under 10s and of Pinhoe Spartans Under 13s football teams.

The Playing Field is a ‘Brownfield Site’
